Police Officer Position

The Kinsman Township Police Department, located in Trumbull County, Ohio, is a part time department and will be seeking one qualified individual for a full-time police officer position.

The qualified applicant must meet the following criteria at a minimum:

Valid Ohio Driver’s License
High School Graduate of Equivalent
Must be a US Citizen
Must be 21 years of age at time of appointment
Current OPOTA Certification
No Disqualifying Misdemeanor or Felony Convictions
Must be able to perform the duties of a Patrol Officer including but not limited to Traffic and Criminal Investigations
Must be able to work nights/weekends/holidays if and when needed
Must be able to pass a background investigation and pre-employment screening protocols
Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position

Additional qualifications will be discussed during the interview process.

The qualified candidate will have a good grasp on policing in the 21st Century and community policing philosophies. Our police department is very community oriented in our day-to-day and patrolling activities.
